Deacon Sherri Price, J.D.

Deaconess Sherri Price, J.D., serves in several capacities at the RLF. She helms the longest-standing outreach ministry of the church which brings the Word of God to residents, staff and guests at a local convalescent home. Her team holds monthly church services and sponsors an annual holiday celebration for the residents of the home. In addition, she has devoted herself to the maintenance and care of the church for over 16 years, believing faith by necessity must show itself in practical application. Outside of ministry to the RLF, she ministers in song around the city, and for years traveled and sang with a well-known gospel choir. Sherri exercises her entrepreneurial spirit by working to build two personal businesses, and is devoted to developing jobs and economic opportunities in America’s inner cities. She writes and speaks to interested groups about communities’ obligations to actively participate in and oversee their own revitalization.  Among her other pursuits, Sherri is helping to create a study curriculum for African-American families, and uses her experience as an editor and writer contribution to the publication of a national newsletter devoted to improving life for people of African descent, as well as writing poetry and being a contributing writer for church publications.
