Dr.
Charles P. Morgan hails from Thibodaux, Louisiana, and is a
graduate of the University of Southern California. Matriculating
there, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in the field of
psychology. After graduating, the opportunity presented itself
to become a surrogate parent at Hathaway Home for Children, a
truly rewarding experience. He is a graduate of Antioch
Christian University where he earned a Doctoral Degree in
Theology. Dr. Morgan is the founder and senior pastor of
Resurrection Life Fellowship, a non-denominational Christian
church located in Westchester, California, where he recently
celebrated his twentieth anniversary. In 1986, Dr. Morgan
founded the Resurrection Life Fellowship in Malawi, East Central
Africa, where it has prospered and grown. Having a tremendous
love for teaching and encouraging others, Dr. Morgan travels as
a motivational speaker and instructor to many cities in the U.S.
and various countries: England; Uganda; Kenya; Malawi; Cape
Town, South Africa; Mexico; and Canada. At Penske College, a
division of Penske, the multibillion-dollar auto giant, he
teaches leadership skills and personal development.
God has gifted Dr. Morgan with profound insights into the

human nature and psyche. In addition to his theological
training, he has four years of postgraduate training in clinical
psychology under the auspices of health care delivery services.
Dr. Morgan is the former director of a twenty-four hour
residential treatment program for troubled adolescents. His
professional counseling career has spanned some 28 years.
Uniquely trained, Dr. Morgan specializes in family and
individual counseling, and group facilitation. He calls upon
that experience, in a Biblical context, to deal with the
emotional and psychological challenges that often beset people
in their daily lives. Dr. Morgan has served for the past 5 years
as President of Harvest Fields International Association, an
association of ministers, in addition to his international
conference speaker and lecturing schedule. He is also an
accomplished musician and bandleader and is very involved with
the worship ministry of his church.
Dr. Morgan is an ardent defender of the faith after the reformed
tradition. He has committed his life to the development of
church leadership and the equipping of the saints to effectively
exist, as dedicated Christians, in a post-Christian society. He
fervently desires to see the church become a formidable
spiritual and intellectual force that has the power to
disseminate and expound persuasively the message of Jesus
Christ.
Dr. Morgan is married to Deborah Jean Morgan. Deborah is a
member of the worship team, and an actress and theater director.
She recently traveled with the stage play "Woman Thou Art
Loosed" with Bishop T. D. Jakes. She travels with and assists
her husband in ministry and missionary endeavors. They have been
married for thirteen years and reside in Culver City,
California.
Charles
P. Morgan is a versatile bassist having exercised his craft for
over twenty-five years. His experience with music started early
by growing up in a neighborhood that produced musicians like
Thaddeus Richard of Paul McCartney and Wings, Tony Hall of the
Neville Brothers, Jewel, Harry Connick Jr., and Guitar Slim. He
plays four, five, six, seven, and Fretless bass. He also
continues to groove as a drummer when needed.
”C. P.” is the Founder and MD of Scarlet Thread, a contemporary
Christian group. He has led the group for more than five years,
and he’s produced and mixed their upcoming CD entitled, “Pages.”
He recently toured with a well-known African artist, Allan
Kisaka, in Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, and South Africa. C.P. is a
studio musician and has played and worked with some of the top
players in the industry, including among others, Justo Almario,
Paul Jackson Jr., Scott Henderson, Coco Montoya, former Miss
Black America—Varetta Heidleburg, Michael Fuller—Fulltone
pedals, and The McCrearys. He is an endorser of Hosa Technology,
endorsing their Zaolla Silverline Cables. You can see his add in
the December Bass Player Magazine which runs bi-monthly.
Music is a passion for this player. He has avidly collected
music for more than thirty years. He is eclectic in his music
appreciation which lends an ability to feel different types of
music and be at home in it. He is comfortable as a soloist, but
he lives by his motto: “If the pulse is not there, the music
can’t groove.” His influences are Marcus Miller, James Jamerson,
Duck Dunn, Nathan East, Will Lee, Victor Wooten, Larry Kimpel,
and many of the great bassists of his era.
C.P. has been a welcomed addition in many projects. If you
believe that he can assist you in your project, please feel free
to call him at (310) 417-8730.
